Natural gas

Heating by natural gas, heating oil and electrical energy

These fuels can be included from economic and comfortable aspects into one group. These fuels are very comfortable, but with these attributes:

- all are fossil and non-renewable

- their price is consistently very high

- their supplies are falling and conversely their consumption and especially price increases

Ecological perspective for natural gas is contradictory. It is true, that it does not emit as much emissions as coal, but that is all. Natural gas is connected with large releases of hydrocarbons into the atmosphere during installation, repair and disposal of the boiler. Generally we can say, that for example boiler for lump wood does not emit so much emissions for its lifetime as the boiler for natural gas during installation, repair and disposal.

Heating oil is the main fuel of Europe, not so widespread in our country, but it is very useful as backup source of power for heating with wood.

Regarding electrical energy, direct heating boiler offers very low investment costs. With obtaining of double-tariff for electrical energy, it saves costs for operation of other household appliances like refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, etc., and in connection with heating with wood provides a very pleasant and affordable heating.
