The rape is example of versatility in again raw material increasing. The products from this „floricultural“ plant don´t finished only at margarines, cartanks or in feed-troughs.

Not only shocking price of oil in the last year is the reason for customers don´t be depend on this fuel, on the other side there is also inventiveness. The firm Kruschel in Fehl-ritzhausen had result: burning of rape pellets for central heating. The centrum – Energy – plants Kastellaun is the cooperation partner. One young businessman pressed about 1000 tons of rape per year, it´s same as 360 000 litres of rape oil and 670 tons of rapecake. Until now this 60 % of waste product from pressed oil seeds is used as livestock feed. The rest will be composted.
The new pellets technique will be built from composting part, from now days about 10 tons per month, in the future about twice more. The rape pellets are still the rest product, but Jürgen and Kai Kruschl are full of enthusiasm and they are sure. Father and son are interested in the CO2 – neutral fuel and attendant technology. „We are always looking for innovations“ said Kai Kruschel, who has got a heating-sanitary firm with his father in Fehl-Ritzhausen. Both made sure, that their boiler /VERNER/, which was produced by one czech producer,, they can put there various energy sources. Jürgen Kruscher is explaining: The man must know, the straw pellets, grass pellets or rape pellets have different heating power than wood. We will acquire it with our present boiler /VERNER/. Straw pellets, by Kruschl´s test, couldn´t have stood the test, because of their hard slag. Accordance experts´ predication, content of rape pellets energy is about 30 % higher than wood because of the oil part. This can be proved , that this yellow plant can´t be affraid of the price comparison with wood pellets. But on the orther side a normal boiler for wood pellets can´t be rebuilt without any equipment for rape – not only for higher ash content of rape pellets. Kai Kruschel trusts in rape pellets and they have a chance on the market. In the last year the boom indicated that the consumers will be very interested in generative fuels.
